Dear Sir & Brother:--
The enclosed clipping is from the Boston Globe of' Sunday Nov. 13th.
It is re-written, most of the matter used being from your syndicate letter.
I saw a very large number of quotations from the article and in some papers it was published in full and any of them which gave illustrations also gave the picture of Mr. Sakuma.
I thought you would be interested to know the wide interest which is being manifested in your articles and for that reason send this on.
I feel confident that in the course of time your letters will not only be a feature in a few of our labor publications, but that there will be a general demand for them.
The pity is that our publications do not appear simultaneously and since I dislike to copyright them anyone has the privilege of republishing them whether they pay for them or not.
In your letter I notice that the name of our friend is Mr. Sakuma and I notice further that you use the name Mr. Teiichi Sakuma.
I am not sure as to whether this latter is part of his name, but in order to make it appear as if I knew I used both.
If the latter is not part of his name please advise me and tell me what it stands for.
With best wishes I am,
Fraternally yours,
Samuel Gompers. President A.F. of L.
